An Act To Make Confidential the E-mail Addresses of Applicants for Department of Marine Resources Licenses

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

Sec. 1. 12 MRSA 6303, sub- 4 is enacted to read:

4. E-mail addresses confidential. Notwithstanding Title 1, chapter 13, subchapter 1, an e-mail address recorded on a license application is confidential except for the use of department personnel or law enforcement personnel or for the purposes of court proceedings.

SUMMARY

This bill provides, with certain exceptions, that e-mail addresses provided on license applications to the Department of Marine Resources are confidential.
