An Act To Enhance Safety for Highway Maintenance Vehicles
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA 2054, sub- 1, H, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. A, 2 and affected by Pt. B, 5, is amended to read:
Sec. 2. 29-A MRSA 2054, sub- 9, as amended by PL 2007, c. 348, 20, is further amended to read:
A violation of this subsection is a traffic infraction for which a minimum fine of $250 must be adjudged.
This bill adds highway maintenance vehicles to the list of stationary vehicles for which a motorist must slow down or move to a nonadjacent lane, if possible.
