An Act To Help Stabilize Homeless Shelters in Maine

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

Sec. 1. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

HOUSING AUTHORITY, MAINE STATE

Shelter Operating Subsidy 0661

Initiative: Provides ongoing funds for homeless shelters.

GENERAL FUND 2015-16 2016-17

SUMMARY

This bill provides ongoing General Fund appropriations of $3,500,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2015-16 to the Maine State Housing Authority to increase funding for homeless shelters.
