An Act To Support College Affordability in Maine

CONCEPT DRAFT

SUMMARY

This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.

This bill proposes to enact measures designed to reduce the costs associated with higher education in order to encourage resident students to remain in the State to attend school, and nonresident students to come to the State to attend school.

Note: Maine Clean Elections Act (MCEA) Qualified candidates only accept a small dollar value of initial contributions early in their campaigns, pledge not to accept further campaign contributions from private sources, and receive public funding for their campaigns.
